Attendance Policy

State law and school board policy require that, in order to receive grades, a student must be present a minimum of 161 days based on the school year.  Students can miss NO MORE THAN 14 DAYS OF SCHOOL.  When a student has five unexcused absences or tardies, he/she is considered truant and his/her parent may be referred to the Child Welfare and Attendance Supervisor and the District Attorney’s office for prosecution or intervention. When a student is absent, a parent note or doctor excuse MUST be turned in within 5 days of the last absence date.  No more than 5 parent notes can be accepted through the school year.

Back Packs

With the start of the 2018-2019 school year, all backpacks/book sacks have to be either clear or mesh.

Tights or socks should be black, white, or navy.

Footwear should not be a safety hazard:  Crocs, flip-flops, slides are not permitted.  Students may wear sandals with a back strap.  Boots are to be worn under the pants legs and pant legs must cover the top portion.
